Sockeye vs. Revolver (WUCC Open Finals)

Part 1 of a 6 section final vid. Check it out.

Here's some homework for you two kiddoes, though:

Watch the video, and write up two or three things (good and bad) about the offense, the defense, and something you want to integrate into your individual ultimate, as well as things you want to integrate into your team. Finally, why, in your opinion, did Revolver win and Sockeye lose?

  1. Revolver
    Good
O: Handler movement (seems like their cutters did very little except near the endzone), using the whole endzone, boxing out
D: Skys, spreading the sideline, transition D
    Bad
    O: use of cutters
    D:

    Sockeye
    Good
O: Creative cuts, break throws, spikes (kidding),
D: not much that stood out
    Bad
    O: boxing out/reading the disc, non-handler throws,
    D: transition D, poaches

Individual: Boxing out, handler cuts, throws
Team: Handler movement, spreading the sideline, gettin' pumped, strategic timeouts

Other comments: Ultimate is in dire need of good commentators, sports announcers. Sadly, I have fallen into the habit of muting any ultimate video I watch.

Revolver, for the most part, looked like they dominated every point in the second half. An aura of domination.
